Christian Refugees Face Ongoing Persecution

On June 8, Boko Haram kidnapped a Christian refugee woman in the middle of the night. They dragged her into the bush and stole all her valuables before sending her back to the refugee camp with a warning for other Christians: Get out of the area within three days or be killed. Many of the Christians left in a panic, and area churches are currently hosting 49 Christian refugees. Several thousand people have taken refuge at the camps in Niger after fleeing Boko Haram violence in nearby northeastern Nigeria. Although few of the refugees are Christians, believers in the camps face continual discrimination from Muslim refugees. Pray for the woman who was kidnapped and for the Christian refugees who have fled the camps.
