Widowed Roommates Trust in God

Rabiya and Shilpa became roommates after their husbands were killed in an accident many years ago. When Rabiya became sick a few years ago, she turned in desperation to a church for prayer. After she was healed, both women made a commitment to follow Christ and started attending church regularly. Their relatives and community immediately shunned them, refusing to even speak to them. They live in a small hut they built themselves, and they have no electricity or running water. Although there is a well nearby, the community forbids them from using it because they are Christians. A VOM worker said despite their difficulties, “they have strong trust in the Lord that God … will provide everything they need.” Pray that God will provide for Rabiya and Shilpa and that their neighbors will come to know Christ.
