Baptism and Offering Boxes Forbidden

A new set of measures adopted in Zhejiang province now forbid changes in location, church growth, adjustment of service times and offering boxes. Local officials now control a church’s number of attendees, service times and types of activities, and churches must have a supervision team. Baptism, donations from other countries and individual bank accounts for a church are also now prohibited. These new measures are part of a burgeoning campaign by the Chinese government to bring religion, especially Christianity, under the government’s control. Pray for believers throughout China who face these tightening restrictions.
